Who Should Participate: Anyone required to enter, attend or supervise confined space entry operations.  This may include safety professionals, maintenance employees, HAZMAT employees, public works personnel, chemical workers, and water treatment personnel.

Objective: This course teaches participants the regulations, procedures and practices to work safely in Permit-Required Confined Spaces.

Program Outline: The course is designed to address the OSHA mandated training elements of 1910.147 paragraphs (g) – (k).  The course teaches participants to recognize confined space hazards, the effects of exposure, test procedures for atmospheric monitoring, selection of PPE and the defined duties and responsibilities of entrants, attendants and supervisors.  The course also includes a rescue training module.  This section discusses the preparation, hazards and proper procedures for initiating a safe rescue. Participants will take part in hands-on use of rescue equipment including PPE, monitoring equipment, fall protection, and retrieval devices during a simulated rescue scenario.
