The HR Leadership Program has been re-designed to better meet the needs of Human Resouce Management Professionals.  Now a 2-part series, Part A is an extensive study of federal and state employment laws.  Part B will explore the best practices for developing a strong and effective human resource function for your organization.

Who Should Participate: Human Resource Professionals

Schedule: This program consists of two parts, each of which meets 1 day per week / for 6 weeks.

Part A is not a prerequisite of Part B.

PART A: LAWS

An extensive study of federal and state employment laws, to include:

  • North Carolina Right-to-Work Law

  • Americans with Disabilities Act and Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act
  • Family and Medical Leave Act
  • The Immigration and Nationality Act

  • PART B: PRACTICES

    We will explore the best practices for developing a strong and effective human resource function for your organization to include such elements as:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Policy formulation
  • Employment practices
  • Compensation development and administration
  • Conflict resolution
  • Effective performance management
  • Managing consistently
  •  

     

    Each part is approved for 33 recertification credits (66 total hours)
