Who Should Participate: Managers and Supervisors who are responsible to be alert to the physical and behavioral characteristics exhibited by employees or others who use drugs and abuse alcohol.

Schedule: 1/2 Day Class

Objective: The Rapid Eye Check is a non-invasive drug prevention program whereby managers and supervisors are trained to be alert to the physical and behavioral characteristics exhibited by employees or others who use drugs and abuse alcohol.  To recognize the behavioral and physical observations are indicators that something is abnormal and that person should submit to the five steps of the Rapid Eye Check.

Program Outline: Participants are educated in a variety of observable, behavioral and physical signs indicating the possibility of drug-induced impairment The comprehensive training also includes the five signs of the Rapid Eye Check.  Those five signs include two that are generally observable and three signs that require interaction between the supervisor and employee, specifically light reaction, nystagmus, and convergence of the eyes.
