This is essential training for all staff with HR responsibilities, and is a member benefit.

  • Family Medical Leave Act provisions seem straightforward, but the application of 12 weeks of unpaid leave in a 12-month period can be puzzling. We will discuss the particulars for qualifying events and how to implement a compliant policy.
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act will also be explained as well as the overlap with FMLA. Group discussion exercises will help you evaluate leave requests with understanding.
